Words are colorful and colors evoke meaning. This idea guides my current work. I developed an alphabet of colors, in which each letter has its own color. Now I am able to write with colors, and the painted words convey mood and meaning.

The series “Collecting Colors” is part of this special alphabet, showing words as abstract paintings. Each diptych represents a pair of words. The first is a color adjective, i.e., blue, green or white, that introduces the second word - dominated by that color.

I choose words that have no real color, i.e., hag, puff or infinity. But they acquire colors by translating into my alphabet.
